my love for mew
one of my super super favorite movies is "the love of siam". it's a story about two estranged childhood friends, mew and tong, who became in love with one another when they met again in high school. the story was about friendship, family, and above all things--love (per ewan mcgregor). it was so drama, and lovey dovey, and i lavet.
but in the end, tong left mew.
and i hated tong for that. so i thought mew would be better off with his super friend, alex.

hi ceej! nice artwork here. is this tong and mew or alex and mew? i feel it is tong and mew though because this reminds me of the intimate scene during tang's (?) party.

ReplyDeleteHello ceejay. I just wanted to tell you that I read your fan fiction follow up story (AFTER)to Love Of Siam, and I liked it very much. I first saw Love Of Siam about two months ago, and have watched it many times since then. I am still not quite over it. I love the movie overall, but I hate the final scene between Mew and Tong. Mew and Tong should have ended up together in that film.
ReplyDeleteI know that you said that you originally wanted for Mew to end up with Alex, in your story, but I am glad that you wrote an alternative ending and allowed Mew and Tong to end up together. That is the way it should have been all along (for me).
Something interesting, a few weeks ago a friend of mine asked me how I would want Mew and Tong to end up back together if there was a sequel. I told him that it might be interesting if Sunee had a hand in bringing them back together, since she was the main reason they ended up apart. And there you have just such a scene in your story.
Again, thanks for your very sweet story and ending. I am thinking of writing a fan fiction follow up myself. But even if I don't, I still have yours.
Now if only the director would realize that so many of us do want a sequel (and make one).
