if at the first time, it didn't work...

then do it again, of course! i've made this first artwork in 2008, i think. my inspiration were ethan and justin of "queer as folk." i thought they looked wonderful together, and that they complement each other - ethan being mysterious, and justin having a sunny personality. ethan plays the violin, but i thought that it would be too small for the artwork, so i drew a cello instead. after coloring and everything, the result wasn't really satisfying for me. it was boring and the hastily-drawn background drawings were crude. so, i put a lot of shadows and ink, to hide the imperfections. i kinda liked it afterward. fast forward to 2010... i always look at my books and drawings when i go to liliw, and as i looked at the ethan/justin drawing, i thought i'd like to do it again... in photoshop. the good thing about art is that you can re-do something if you're not satisfied with it, and you won't get crucified when you do something wrong (even) for the first time, like in accounting. so, here's my second take on the ethan/justin love affair. notice that ethan is smiling now and willing to forgive justin? i guess it's affected by how i look at things now. hehe... am i getting sunny or what?
