i am in love with stories. i get them from books, tv, movies, people, blogs, chetera, chetera. i think i grow more as i eat the experiences of other people (plus side, it's non fattening).
i was reading nymag.com earlier. one story is about brooke astor (of the upper east side, nyc, usa) and the other one is about kate middleton. i was giddy with excitement as i devour the grandeur, drama, and tragedy of the upper class. it didn't help that i was drinking ultra strong brown coffee because i was literally shaking. i thought how cool it would be to have friends like the rockefellers, de la rentas, duckworth-chads, hicks-lobbeckes, massy-birchs, and all those with hyphens in their last names (if and only if they are stinking rich). and they would indulge in those extra-marital affairs and cocaine and paparazzi. and then they would battle in courts and hire publicists to cover their tracks. and people like them! or at least people would like to be like them.
on the other hand, i'm also interested in hearing and watching stories about the working class, or the class below the working class, or the classes below the muck of poverty. if you watch tv 5's face to face (which i do, occasionally), you'd definitely lol on former friends killing each other over 1000php or girls fighting over a guy made out of bones and skin, who probably doesn't smell good either. i'm like what the fuck? but with a smile on my face. it's heart wrenching however, when i see people so poor, they eat pagpag (leftovers from fastfoods found in trash) or nothing else. but i'm not talking about contestants in tv 5's willing willie because i don't watch it. By the by, estashon ba nga masa ang tv 5?
anyway, i think i'll stick with the high brow stories for now. better prepare myself for when i'm on top. =P
